I just had to send one of my beloved old kitties to the Bridge about a month ago, and I understand the pain all too well. Many nose-kisses and headbonks from my kitties, Thomas and Belladonna.
I don't know if you're a spiritual person, but there's a line from the Buddhist Heart Sutra that I saw when sending off a beloved friend, furry or otherwise: Gaté, gaté, paragate, parasamgate, Bodhi soha! (roughly translated, this means "Gone, gone, gone beyond, gone far beyond ... O, what beautiful Enlightenment!")

My heart goes out to you. Try not to cry too much. I know you will. We've cried oceans, here.
