We're home!
with pain medicine and antibiotics. So I just got her to settle down on the bed with her blanket on her. Whenever we go to the vet and she is gone from home for more than an hour, when she gets home she has to case the joint. It's like she has to verify that she is in the right place and that everything is where its supposed to be. This goes on for about an hour. I'm sure that she is pretty sore now because having that huge bandage on did not stop her from jumping on the bed and then the sofa, getting down was not as easy, I had to assist. But I can't stop her, she can't rest until she is convinced that all is OK. And no eating goes on during this time either.
So now that that is accomplished, she is on the bed and resting easy with me checking on her every 10 minutes or so for now and she just had a few temptations.
Next Saturday she gets her bandage changed and the Saturday after that, the stitches come out, then we take it from there.
They fashioned a pink kitty cat as a decoration on her bandage

I am glad Honey is safely back home with you. Of course she must check everything, there may have been intruders while she was away. I hope she heals well and the news is good when she has her stitches out.
Purrs for quick healing, Honey! And paws crossed for good test results.
We can imagine how great it is to be back home, Honey! Love your pink bandage. Know you will be one spoiled little girl for quite a while. (((hugs)))
what great news that she is doing well after her surgery. we are sending healing purrs and prayers for Honey.
I am so glad to see this post. I have to smile, our Dash was always determined to do what HE wanted when he had a bandage on his paw. Heal well, and get wel even sooner Honey.

Hi Honey. Us Katie Katz just found out about your blog and how you have a very bad ouchie on your paw after surgery to remove a tumor. We hope your paw fees much better soon.
We are thankful that the tumor was encapsulated and very sad you had a toe-ectomy. Sounds like the vet said that just one toe and the dew claw were removed and not the two toe-ectomy as previously planned?
Sending healing purrs that your test results are good and your sore paw heals quickly and no more bad tumors! And your Mom can get some needed rest, too.
Does your Mom have a way for bloggers to help with paying your vet bills?
Lots of Love

Oh, we're so glad Honey is home!!! She's a very determined girl... but that's also a very good sign, that she wants to check everything out .
Still sending lots of purrs your way.
: )
Oh, it makes our hearts happy to see Honey at home! She looks like Queen of the Couch, there. I am sure you are thrilled to have her there with you, ready to be loved on and pampered. The Human says I do the same as you Honey, as soon as I am home I must conduct a complete inspection to make sure nothing untoward has happened in my absence. And hey--milk this for all the treats you can get!!! XOXOXO
I am so glad you and Honey will be rest well together tonight...that was quite the ordeal for her. Casing the joint is quite normal for all cats when they get back home...it gives them a sense of normalcy in the chaos they can not control.
We purrrrr real hard that recovery and healing will be swift as a autumn wind for our dear Honey!
Sending soft purrrrs, Karla at the cozy cottage
