dis iz owr Hello Kitty Kissmouse reeth.  i go to the hospital tomorrow fur mi second chemo treatment.  I will be there fur alot of time.  furst dey do a CDC chem panel bluds test on me and it takes a foo hours to git the results, den when dat is dun dey put mi under and do the chemo den brings mi back owt ov da sleeps and mommie comes and gits mi and takes me home.
we will gits der around 7:30 am.

Health-wise i yam feeling much better and am back to my normal selfie. but dis mornin we found out dat 2 of our furrends wint to the rainbow bridge.  Furst Puff frum Perfectly Parker (Roodee toodee fresh n frootee's furrambly) and den the hansum Beau Beau.  Dis all sux!  we r furry de-pressed.

so, Honey has 1 chemo down and 5 to go.  We have not seen any adverse side effects yet.  They said that 3-5 days after the chemo she "could" have some nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea.  They had me give her anti-nausea meds for 3 days after but I'm not sure that they were necessary.  She is acting normal and seems just fine.  She still does have a little tenderness in the foot where the tumor was removed.

She has to go in next Wednesday to get a CBC blood panel done to see how the chemo is effecting her body then the next chemo is a week after that on Christmas eve.

So we are just taking it as it comes.

Chemo number 1

Honey is at the vet hospital getting her first chemotherapy treatment

Easy like Sunday....under the bed edition

so after not having to go to the vet after 10 days, Honey has taken to going under the bed in the morning after she's had he treats and breakfast and water.  She has done this for the last 4 days and counting.  Too much meds?  not enough meds?  we have tried both.  I tried taking her out and putting her into her private quarters but she gets up and goes under the bed again.  I even washed the blanket in her bed.  She NEVER hides under the bad in all the years that she has lived here.

She is only under the very edge of the bed so i can grab her if I need to.  when i visit her there she is full of purrs and wants pets and her head scritched.  She comes out from under there around 2pm or so and everything is normal after that.

I know she is very frustrated with the cone because she can not wash herself so i have given her a rub down with a wet wash cloth a few times.  she does not like her bum being wash tho and she will tell me with no uncertain terms.  What to do?  I wish she could tell me.

I've been doin sum serious healin.  i must do dis becuz den i can git rid of da stoopy collar.  mi next doctor bisit iz on december 9.  on dis day dey will luk at mi paw to see if it iz healed enuf to start mi furst chemo treatment or dey may push it back 1 more week.  we will see but until den i will be healin..

we haz alot to be thankful fur today.  i iz thanksful dat mommie lubs me so much.  i iz thanksful fur Laurie, Dr. Tu and Dr. Uhl  and all da gurls at da VCA dat took such gud care ov mi fur da last 6 weeks.  i iz thanksful fur all mi furry kitty and goggie furrends and human furrends who gaves mi encurougments and lubs dat helped me git thru da last 6 weeks ov habbin mi tumor removed and mi radiashun treatments.

Mommie and mi wish yoo all a furry happee day today.

Honey's Mom  here: Honey seems to be a little under the weather today.  Our appointments start time starting today till thru next Tuesday have moved up an hour.  This kind of threw her for a loop today as she got home later than usual yesterday because the assisting vet tech had to work on an emergency, so she sat around waiting longer than usual.  Plus we are thinking that her radiated foot is starting to hurt her now.  The radiation is cumulative, not seeing any results until this week and they can last thru 3 weeks out after her last treatment.  So I gave her half a dose of pain meds when she got home and she is resting comfortably right now.

When she is waiting for her treatment to be set up and after her treatment, they have a cage set up for her and Laurie, her rad tech. has made her a kitten cave with a comforter.  Honey crawls into the cave while she is waiting for her sedation to wear off.

  I got my easy on today.  On Caturday, i slept till 6pm in my private quarters(the closet).  Mommie brot me treats thru out da day.  Den i came out and watched TV wif mommie.

I have 2 days off from treatments.  This means that I can eat breakfast cuz on treatment days i cannot eat until after my treatment for da day.  Laurie, my radiashn therapist, tried to give me treats before i go home and i refused, but furiday, i gave in and ate 10 treats before mommie picked me up.

so i yam home, bandij free fur da weekend(mi port iz removed fur da weekend), except..............I HAZ TO WEAR DIS STOOPY COLLAR FRUM NOW UNTIL FURREBER.  i yam not allowed to groom my 3 toe fut becuz Laurie drew on it and cuz as my treatments progress, my fut will get blistery and peely and mi ruff tung will irritate mi fut.

dis suks......thank cod da mommie combs me and washed mi face wif a baby wipe, i haz to be beyootiful fur mi public.

I got a get well card today frum mi cusins, but these are mi goggie cusins, Murphy and Cooper.  Dey lifs on the east coast.  Dey iz sailin goggies.  Dey iz retired and liffin da gud life.

Day 2, 14 to go

Eating some stinky goodness wif the stoopy collar on.  Health wise i yam gud but i hate driving to the treatments and back efurry day.  The stoopy collar iz so i do not lick off the pritty purple sharpie drawings that Laurie, my radiology oncologist, drew on my paw pads.  oh, and i haz a purple bandij on mi right paw that covers my port dat i haz to has monday thru firday.  so dey put me out efurry time i gits radiology.

Today i iz convalessin in da kitten cave mommie made fur mi.  Tuesday iz mi furst radiashun appointment at 10 am.  Dey will do all mi setup, marking down all my positioning and makin marks on my paw.  This will be da same position that dey will yoos efurry time i come.  and i will get my furst treatment.  Dey will radiate bof sides ov mi paw.

2 nites ago, Honey wanted me to open the dresser drawer because she likes to climb in over the back of the open drawer into the drawer below and sleep.  I wouldn't open the drawer for her and she was very perturbed.  I knew she would have a hard time getting the bandaged paw over the back of the drawer to get to the drawer below and then she would have trouble again climbing back out.  So, I promised her that she can do all that on Saturday after  the bandage comes off although her foot might be a little sore.  The bandage has her toes pointed down right now, kind of like she has a ballet toe shoe on.  So when the bandage comes off, she will then be walking with the foot in the correct position and it hasn't been in the correct position for almost 2 weeks now.  I always did call her "my little ballerina."

Mommie is going to werk today and my auntie Sue, mommie to the grate Trixie Marmalade, will come and check in on me
